Job summary

XPO is hiring Class 1 HGV night drivers for our Dordon site near Tamworth. You will work on a days network contract delivering vehicle parts to dealerships, averaging 40 hours per week and starting at 8 am. The role offers guaranteed hours and ADR training after 12 months, plus discounts, pension, and CPC training opportunities.

You will join a well‑established logistics provider with a focus on safety and reliability, supporting the wider transport operation as needed.

Qualifications

• Full UK CE driving licence is essential.
• No more than six penalty points and no DD/DR/IN/CD endorsements.
• A valid CPC and Digital Tachograph (Tacho) card are required.
• Excellent knowledge of the UK road network is necessary.

Responsibilities

• Deliver scheduled Class 1 deliveries safely and on time.
• Deliver cages and pallets to a single dealer in Leatherhead.
• Carry out manual handling and handball of goods.
• Use keys and access codes to gain entry to delivery locations.
• Carry out vehicle checks and ensure safe operation of the vehicle.

We're looking for full-time, permanent Class 1 HGV night Drivers to join us at our site in Dordon, near Tamworth.

Want to know more about us, click here. Pay, benefits and more. You'll be working on our prestigious days network contract with Mobis delivering vehicle parts to dealerships. You'll be working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with a start at 8 am.

In return for your hard work, we'll offer you an average salary of £36,545 PA. Upon completion of 12 months of continuous service, the company will also provide ADR training. What you'll do on a typical day

• Key Responsibilities
• Complete scheduled Class 1 deliveries safely and on time.
• Deliver cages and pallets to a single dealer in Leatherhead.
• Carry out some manual handling and handballing of goods.
• Use provided keys and access codes to gain entry to the delivery location.
• Complete vehicle checks and ensure the vehicle is operated safely and responsibly.
• Complete all required delivery paperwork and/or electronic proof of delivery.Maintain a professional standard when representing the business.
• Complete additional collections from Crick and Daventry when required.
• Undertake other ad hoc driving duties based on operational requirements.
• Maintain flexibility to support the wider transport operation when required.

What you need to succeed at XPO
