Job summary

Gist Limited is hiring a newly qualified Class 1 driver for a Chesterfield depot. You will begin your career with full training and support from experienced Driver Trainers, gaining real driving experience from day one.

The role offers 12-hour shifts, a rolling 8-week rota, and start times across morning and evening windows. With a UK Class 1 licence, Driver CPC, and Tachograph Card, you’ll join a leading logistics business dedicated to safety and career development.

Qualifications

• Valid UK Class 1 (Category C+E) licence required.
• Driver CPC required.
• Digital Tachograph Card required.
• Strong commitment to safety and service quality.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Operate a permanent Class 1 driving role for deliveries and returns.
• Adhere to road safety regulations and tachograph rules.
• Engage with Driver Trainers to build experience from day one.
• Represent Gist with professionalism and reliability.

The Opportunity

• Depot: Chesterfield
• Hours: 12 hour shifts
• Rota: 8 week rolling rota
• Start times: AM - 07:00-10:00
• Start times PM - 15:00 - 18:00

Salary

• £17.33 per hour + £2.34 unsociable pay per hour between 20:00 -06:00
• Premiums: Saturday is additional £1.23 per hour and Sunday is an additional £3.71 per hour
• Friday premium (from midday) is £1.26
