Job summary

Henderson Group in Northern Ireland is seeking qualified Class 1 HGV drivers for Henderson Wholesale with flexible part-time and full-time opportunities. The role focuses on local NI routes with no overnight stays, delivering to SPAR, EUROSPAR, VIVO, and VIVOXTRA stores while upholding safety and service standards.

You will be supported by an experienced Transport team, perform daily vehicle checks, and be the face of our brand on the road.

Qualifications

• Hold a current LGV Group C+E licence.
• Valid CPC (Driver Qualification Card) up to date.
• Digital Tachograph Card required.
• Good knowledge of the Northern Ireland road network.
• Able to deliver outstanding customer service.

Responsibilities

• Deliver loads safely and on time to SPAR, EUROSPAR, VIVO stores across Northern Ireland.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform daily safety checks.
• Provide excellent customer service and represent Henderson Wholesale on the road.
• Work with Transport team for route planning and support.
• Home every night with local routes.

What we’re looking for:

Essential Criteria:

• Hold a current LGV Group C+E licence
• Possess a valid, in date Driver Qualification Card (CPC up to date)
• Possess a Digital Tachograph Card
• Have a good knowledge of the Northern Ireland road network
• Able to deliver outstanding Customer Service

Desirable Criteria:

• Relevant driving experience
• Multi‑drop delivery experience
• A good knowledge of vehicle refrigeration
• A good knowledge of tail lift operation
• Understanding of Driving Regulations and Working Time Legislation

Hours and Days of Work

We have part‑time opportunities available for candidates who can work between 1 and 4 days per week across the stated days: Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday. There are also various full‑time positions working a core contract of 38 hours per week, 5 days out of 7, likely to be Sunday–Thursday (6th day working required every other Friday) or Tuesday‑Saturday (6th day working required every other Monday). Start times will depend on which shift you are successful for. We have a mixture of day shifts, evening/night shifts positions available.

All driving is within Northern Ireland – no overnights, no UK mainland work. Shortlisted candidates will have the opportunity to discuss the shift patterns at interview.
