Job summary

Countrystyle Recycling Limited is seeking an experienced HGV driver to safely operate company vehicles across London and the South East. You will perform daily checks, manage tachographs and complete all paperwork in a timely manner while delivering high‑quality service to customers.

The role requires a valid LGV C+E licence with minimal penalty points, a DQC, and a professional, team‑oriented approach. On‑site work with potential changes across depots and uniform attire are expected.

Qualifications

• Good communication skills, verbal and written.
• Knowledge of London and the South East.
• Excellent driving skills and road safety knowledge.
• Previous HGV driving experience.
• Full LGV C+E (Class 1) licence with ≤3 penalty points and no DR/TT in last 5 years.
• Valid Driver Qualification Card (DQC).
• Positive and respectful attitude to others.
• Teamwork and supporting others.
• Versatility and willingness to learn; reliable and trustworthy.

Responsibilities

• Complete all daily vehicle checks and fill out the Vehicle Defect sheet.
• Ensure CCTV cameras are functioning and inward-facing cameras face the driver where fitted.
• Report defects (tyres, etc.) to Fleet Office.
• Complete all allocated work within the day to schedule.
• Submit paperwork correctly and on time.
• Maintain regular communication with the Fleet Office and report incidents.
• Be courteous and professional when representing the company to customers.
• Refuel vehicles on return to yard or depot as required.
• Present Tachograph card for weekly downloading.
• Debrief with Fleet Office and prepare for next day’s work.
