Job summary

R&V Group Ltd is seeking a Class 1 driver for ongoing work with a well known company. The role involves trunking between depots, delivering to various locations and ensuring accurate paperwork while following health and safety rules.

Applicants must have at least 1 year of Class 1 driving experience, a valid UK licence, and the right to work in the UK. Flexible start times and weekly pay are offered. 24/7 on-call support for drivers is available.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year experience in Class 1 driving
• National Insurance Number
• Right to work in the UK
• Full UK driving licence
• Good level of English
• Flexibility in starting times

Responsibilities

• Depo to Depo trunking.
• Deliver Company and Third Party products to specified locations and in accordance with the delivery schedule.
• Ensure correct and thorough completion of paperwork.
• Observe and adhere to company rules and procedures, including all aspects of health, safety and hygiene.
• Maintain a good working knowledge of operations within the transport department.
• Effectively manage own working time in line with the Road Transport Directive.
• Adhere to tachograph rules and regulations at all times.
• Ensure daily vehicle checks are completed in line with company procedure.
• Ensure proof of deliveries (PODs) are signed and returned to the Transport Office after delivery.
• Achieve and succeed fuel efficiency targets set by the business.
• Any other duties as reasonably required.
