Job summary

Great Bear, part of Culina Group Limited, is recruiting HGV Class 1 drivers on a full-time, permanent contract for the Harworth site. Shifts are 5 in 7, starting between 06:00 and 08:00, with an hourly rate of £15.16 and overtime at 1.5x after weekly contracted hours.

Responsibilities include accurate paperwork, adherence to health and safety rules, vehicle and trailer checks, and professional deliveries to customer premises.

Qualifications

• Must have recent Class 1 driving experience (minimum 6 months).
• Knowledge of Road Transport Directive and drivers’ hours regulations.
• Excellent attention to detail and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate and complete paperwork.
• Follow health, safety and hygiene rules and procedures.
• Maintain knowledge of transport department operations.
• Adhere to tachograph rules at all times.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and temperature checks on units/trailers.
• Make deliveries to customers’ premises in a professional manner.

We are now recruiting for HGV Class 1 Drivers on a Full time and permanent position for Great Bear in Harworth.

Job Description

Shift: 5 in 7 Days - 06:00am-08:00am start window.

Salary: £15.16 per hour.

Overtime: x 1.5 of the hourly rate - Effective once weekly contracted hours have been worked.

• Ensure correct and thorough completion of paperwork
• Observe and adhere to company rules and procedures, including all aspects of health, safety and hygiene
• Maintain a good working knowledge of operations within the transport department
• Maintain a high standard of behaviour and appearance
• Effectively manage own working time in line with the Road Transport Directive
• Adhere to tachograph rules and regulations at all times
• Ensure daily vehicle checks are completed in line with company procedure
• Responsible for unit and trailer, including temperature checks
• Make deliveries to customers’ premises, acting in a professional manner at all times

Qualifications

• Minimum of recent Class 1 Driver - 6 months is essential for this position.
• Knowledge of Road Transport Directive and current drivers’ hours.
