Job summary

Great Bear in Harworth is recruiting HGV Class 1 Drivers for a full‑time, permanent role. You will make deliveries to customers’ premises, complete paperwork accurately and follow health, safety and tachograph rules.

The role operates on a 5 in 7 shift pattern (06:00–08:00 start window) with overtime at 1.5x the hourly rate; prior Class 1 experience (6 months) is essential, and you should understand Road Transport Directive requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum of recent Class 1 Driver – 6 months experience.
• Knowledge of Road Transport Directive and current drivers’ hours.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work without direct supervision.
• Adaptable and methodical approach to work/train­ing.
• Conscientious and reliable.
• Professional and approachable.

Responsibilities

• Ensure correct and thorough completion of paperwork.
• Observe and adhere to company rules and procedures, including health, safety and hygiene.
• Maintain a good working knowledge of operations within the transport department.
• Maintain a high standard of behaviour and appearance.
• Effectively manage own working time in line with the Road Transport Directive.
• Adhere to tachograph rules and regulations at all times.
• Ensure daily vehicle checks are completed in line with company procedure.
• Responsible for unit and trailer, including temperature checks.
• Make deliveries to customers’ premises, acting in a professional manner at all times.

We are now recruiting forHGV Class 1 Drivers on a Full time and permanent position for Great Bear in Harworth.

Job Description

Shift: 5 in 7 Days - 06:00am-08:00am start window.

Salary: £15.16 per hour.

Overtime:x 1.5 of the hourly rate - Effective once weekly contracted hours have been worked.
