About the Role

• Safely unload vehicles, typically completing multi drop deliveries per day, ensuring goods are managed with care and efficiency.
• Unloading of caged goods from vehicles into customer stores. This will involve manual handling, full training will be provided.
• Deliver goods to depots across the Southwest, adhering to planned schedules and route requirements.
• Provide outstanding customer service, engaging professionally with clients at delivery points to represent the company positively.
• Maintain clear and consistent communicationwith the transport team, offering real-time updates to support smooth operations and manage customer expectations.
• Participate in regular training sessionsto stay current with operational procedures, safety standards, and industry best practices.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

• Full UK Class 1 (CE) Licence— essential for operating articulated vehicles.
• Valid Driver CPC (DCPC) and Digital Tachograph Card— ensuring compliance with legal and safety standards.
• Experience with fridge trailersis beneficial, butfull training will be providedfor those new to refrigerated transport.
• Previous experience delivering directly to client sitesis advantageous and demonstrates confidence in customer-facing roles.
• Strong commitment to customer service, with a professional and courteous approach at all times.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, maintaining high standards of accuracy and efficiency.
• Confident and polite communicator, with a positive, team-oriented attitude.
• Solid geographical knowledge of the South West is valuable.
