Job summary

365 People are recruiting HGV Class 1 Drivers on behalf of an established transport and logistics operation in the Scunthorpe area. You will operate modern curtain-sider trucks on general haulage and trunking contracts across UK routes including Birmingham, Manchester, Liverpool, Newcastle, London, Scotland and Wales.

This temp-to-perm opportunity offers a progression path after 12 weeks with permanent salary options (£44,000 days, £46,000 nights).

Qualifications

• Class 1 (C+E) licence and minimum 6 months' Class 1 experience.
• Must be at least 25 years old for insurance purposes.
• Maximum 6 points on licence; minor offences accepted.

Responsibilities

• Operate modern 26-tonne curtain sider trucks on general haulage and trunking contracts.
• Work across UK routes including Birmingham, Manchester, Liverpool, Newcastle, London, Scotland and Wales.
• Load and secure pallets; loading/unloading mainly with site equipment.
• Adhere to shift patterns and longer working days.
