Job summary

365 People recruitment drives for HGV Class 1 drivers in Scunthorpe to support general haulage and trunking across UK routes. You will operate modern curtain siders and work across varied contracts with loading handled primarily by site equipment.

This temp-to-perm role offers stable opportunities, with induction and buddy shifts to ensure a smooth start. PAYE pay is £200/day plus a £25 night-out allowance, with permanent salaries of £44k (days) or £46k (nights).

Qualifications

• Class 1 (C+E) licence required and 6+ months of experience.
• Minimum 25 years old for insurance purposes.
• Good load security and strap experience preferred.
• Reliable, professional and able to work long days.

Responsibilities

• Operate 26-tonne curtain sider trucks on general haulage and trunking contracts.
• Route coverage includes UK across Birmingham, Manchester, Liverpool, Newcastle, London, Scotland and Wales.
• Loading/unloading mostly via site equipment; some light manual handling.
