Job summary

Driver Hire Belfast is seeking a Class 1 Driver (C+E) on a permanent, full-time basis. The role involves collecting and delivering materials to meat processing plants and other locations across Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland, on a 4-week rotating schedule. You will need a valid Class 1 licence, Driver CPC, Digital Tachograph Card, at least 1 year of Class 1 experience, and to be 25 or older. The position offers a 45-hour contract and a salary of £39,195.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 1 (C+E) Licence.
• Current Driver CPC.
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
• Minimum 1 year's Class 1 driving experience.
• Must be 25 years of age or older (insurance requirement).

Responsibilities

• Collect and deliver raw materials and finished goods to meat processing plants and various locations throughout Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland in a reliable and courteous manner.
• Complete daily raw material collection sheets.
• Conduct and complete daily vehicle safety inspection records.
• Maintain required vehicle cleaning records.
• Keep assigned vehicle clean and presentable, both internally and externally.
• Ensure all transport documentation is accurately completed and returned to the office as required.
• Operate a forklift and assist with loading and unloading lorries.
• Liaise with site supervisors and production management to ensure the efficient movement of goods and delivery of service.

Hours of Work

This role operates on a 4-week rotating schedule:

Week 1 - Donegal Late

• 1:30pm to 8:00pm

Week 2 - Donegal Early

• 9:00am to 7:00pm

Week 3 - North Run

• 9:00am to 7:00pm

Week 4 - South Run

• 2 days per week: 9:00am to 7:00pm
• Remaining days: 1:30pm to 7:00pm
