Job summary

Driver Hire Manchester is seeking a Class 1 Driver (C+E) for a permanent, full-time position in the UK. The role involves delivering raw materials and finished goods across Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland, maintaining vehicle records, and ensuring accurate transport documentation.

You must hold a Class 1 (C+E) licence, Driver CPC, Digital Tachograph Card, have at least 1 year of Class 1 driving experience, and be 25 or older for insurance.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 1 (C+E) Licence.
• Current Driver CPC.
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
• Minimum 1 year’s Class 1 driving experience.
• Must be 25 years of age or older (insurance requirement).

Responsibilities

• Collect and deliver raw materials and finished goods to meat processing plants and various locations throughout Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland in a reliable and courteous manner.
• Complete daily raw material collection sheets.
• Conduct and complete daily vehicle safety inspection records.
• Maintain required vehicle cleaning records.
• Keep assigned vehicle clean and presentable, both internally and externally.
• Ensure all transport documentation is accurately completed and returned to the office as required.
• Operate a forklift and assist with loading and unloading lorries.
• Liaise with site supervisors and production management to ensure the efficient movement of goods and delivery of service.

• Permanent, full-time position
• Valid Class 1 (C+E) Licence

Hours of Work

This role operates on a 4-week rotating schedule:

• 1:30pm to 8:0p
• 9:00am to 7:00pm

Week 3 – North Run

• 9:00am to 7:00pm

Week 4 – South Run

• 2 days per week: 9:00am to 7:00pm
• Remaining days: 1:30pm to 1:7:00pm
