Job summary

The Best Connection are recruiting HGV Class 1 (LGV C+E) drivers to work with our client based in Gateshead. You will cover designated delivery routes and assist with yard movements on-site when required.

This role involves multi‑drop deliveries of drinks stock to pubs and hospitality venues, manual handling of heavy items, and friendly customer interactions. Full training is provided for new passes and CPC compliance.

Qualifications

• Valid Cat C+E licence with up‑to‑date CPC and Digital Tachograph cards.
• New pass drivers welcome; full training provided.
• Good physical fitness due to heavy dray deliveries.
• Smart appearance suitable for client interactions.
• Positive attitude towards professional driving standards and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Class 1 driving on designated delivery routes.
• Yard shunting duties moving trailers safely on-site when required.
• Multi-drop delivery of heavy drinks stock, including beer kegs and barrels.
• Manual handling of heavy items using specialized delivery equipment.
• Customer-facing interaction at busy pub and hospitality locations.
• Representing both our client and The Best Connection.
