Job summary

The Best Connection is seeking a reliable Class 1 HGV Driver for our operation in Wednesbury. You will drive Class 1 (C+E) lorries, complete daily vehicle checks, and ensure accurate documentation of deliveries and collections.

The role supports flexible full-time or part-time options, with emphasis on safety and compliance with UK regulations. Responsibilities include meeting delivery schedules (typically 2/3 drops per day, no handball), delivering to clients with a professional demeanor, and

Qualifications

Must hold a valid UK Class 1 (C+E) licence.
Must possess a valid digital tachograph card.
Good knowledge of UK road networks and transport regulations.
Strong safety awareness and a professional attitude.

Responsibilities

Safely operate Class 1 (C+E) vehicles.
Deliver goods efficiently while meeting delivery schedules, usually 2/3 drops a day, no handball.
Complete daily vehicle checks and report any defects.
Ensure all deliveries and collections are accurately documented.
Comply with all UK driving regulations, including drivers' hours and tachograph rules.
Provide excellent customer service when delivering to clients.
