Job summary

DHL Supply Chain is seeking an experienced Class 1 driver to join a busy operation delivering ambient goods to major food retail distribution centres across the UK. The role is based at East Midlands Gateway in Derby with shifts starting at 9am, 12pm or 3pm.

You will hold a valid HGV Class 1 licence, Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card, with at least 8 months of recent Class 1 driving experience and up to 6 penalty points.

Qualifications

• HGV Class 1 Licence, Driver CPC and Tachograph Card required.
• Minimum 8 months recent Class 1 driving experience.
• Max 6 penalty points on licence.
• Good understanding of drivers' hours and regulations.
• Professional, reliable and customer-focused attitude.

Responsibilities

• Multi-drop deliveries to food retail distribution centres nationwide.
• Average of 2 drops per shift.
• Deliver ambient goods on pallets to RDCs.
• Drive safely in line with hours regulations and company standards.
• Occasional unloading assistance at RDCs.

Pay Rate: £42,339,61 Grade: Collective Agreement Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time) Shift patterns: Working Monday to Friday starting at 9am, 12pm or 3pm Location: East Midlands Gateway - Derby We're currently recruiting experienced Class 1 (C+E) Drivers to join a busy and professional operation delivering ambient goods to major food retail distribution centres across the UK. As a Class 1 Driver, you will be responsible for delivering palletised loads to well-known food retail distribution centres and other major RDCs.

A TYPICAL DAY MAY INVOLVE

• Multi-drop deliveries to food retail distribution centres nationwide
• Average of 2 drops per shift
• Driving throughout the UK as part of a nationwide delivery network
• Transporting ambient goods on pallets
• Majority of deliveries are unloaded by the distribution centre, occasionally (approximately 2% of deliveries) you may be required to assist with unloading
• Driving in a safe and efficient manner in line with Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive regulations
• Complying with our health and safety standards at all times, ensuring adherence to The Highway Code, road safety rules and vehicle regulations

THIS ROLE WOULD SUIT PEOPLE WHO

• Hold a valid HGV Class 1 Driving Licence, Driver CPC Qualification and Digital Tachograph Card
