Job summary

DHL Supply Chain is hiring experienced Class 1 (C+E) drivers for a permanent full-time role based at East Midlands Gateway, Derby. You will deliver ambient goods to major RDCs nationwide, with typical shifts Monday to Friday starting at 12am and an average of two palletised drops per shift.

Role requires a valid HGV Class 1 licence, Driver CPC, and Digital Tachograph Card, with at least 8 months of Class 1 experience and up to 6 points.

Qualifications

• Requires HGV Class 1 driving licence and Driver CPC qualification.
• Digital Tachograph card required.
• Proven safe driving with understanding of drivers' hours/wDL regulations.

Responsibilities

• Multi-drop deliveries to food retail distribution centres.
• Average of 2 drops per shift.
• Drive across the UK within a nationwide delivery network.
• Unload pallets at times as needed within site rules.
• Adhere to health and safety, Highway Code and vehicle regulations.

Pay Rate: £42,339,61 Grade: Collective Agreement Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time) Shift patterns: Working Monday to Friday starting at 12am Location: East Midlands Gateway - Derby We're currently recruiting experienced Class 1 (C+E) Drivers to join a busy and professional operation delivering ambient goods to major food retail distribution centres across the UK. As a Class 1 Driver, you will be responsible for delivering palletised loads to well-known food retail distribution centres and other major RDCs. A TYPICAL DAY MAY INVOLVE

• Multi-drop deliveries to food retail distribution centres nationwide
• Average of 2 drops per shift
• Driving throughout the UK as part of a nationwide delivery network
• Transporting ambient goods on pallets
• Majority of deliveries are unloaded by the distribution centre, occasionally (approximately 2% of deliveries) you may be required to assist with unloading
• Driving in a safe and efficient manner in line with Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive regulations
• Complying with our health and safety standards at all times, ensuring adherence to The Highway Code, road safety rules and vehicle regulations

THIS ROLE WOULD SUIT PEOPLE WHO

• Hold a valid HGV Class 1 Driving Licence, Driver CPC Qualification and Digital Tachograph Card
• Minimum 8 months recent Class 1 driving experience
• Maximum of 6 penalty points on your licence
• Good understanding of drivers' hours and working time regulations
• Professional, reliable, and customer-focused attitude
