Base pay range

Savanna Staff Solutions has recently partnered with one of the world’s largest postal services, and we are seeking Class 1 drivers for depots in Ipswich and Snetterton. Drivers will be offered work at both sites.

All shifts start in the PM, and you will be performing trunking runs from depot to depot.

Your daily Class 1 driver duties include:

1. Daily pre- and post-vehicle inspections to ensure HGV roadworthiness.
2. Trunk driving from depot to depot, including trailer swaps at operating centres.
3. Following correct procedures and operating systems.
4. Maintaining high standards of driving on the road.

Qualifications and experience required:

• Minimum 1 year of Cat CE (6 months provable experience on the road).
• Current UK Licence, Digi card, and CPC DQC card.
• Right to live and work in the UK (9-digit settlement share code).
• Good spoken and written English.

Our client encourages Class 1 drivers to download their Digi cards now. If you have at least 6 months of continuous driving experience (minimum 2 days per week over 6 months), you will be offered ongoing work for at least the rest of the year.

Rates are paid via Umbrella PAYE only, with elevated overtime pay after 8 hours and on weekends and bank holidays.
