Job description

Driver Hire Stockport is currently recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) Drivers to join our growing team. We serve the SK postcode area with work available Monday through Friday, with flexible start times to suit your schedule.

We offer various contracts including multi-drop, flatbed, and general haulage, with approximately 50 clients weekly.

Requirements for the Successful Class 1 HGV Driver:

• Valid Cat CE Licence (HGV Class 1)
• Valid CPC and Digital Tacho Card
• At least 6 months of relevant driving experience
• No more than 6 points on your licence (no DD, DR, IN, TT endorsements)

Duties:

• Driving the HGV responsibly while obeying all traffic laws
• Performing daily vehicle checks to ensure compliance
• Assisting with loading and unloading when necessary
• Communicating regularly with Branch Managers about progress

Pay Rates:

Paid weekly via PAYE

• £17.59 minimum 8 hours paid
• £23.53 paid after 8 hours

This pay rate includes holiday accrual. To accrue holidays separately, rates are £15.70/h and £21/h for overtime.
