Night Driver Position - Bredbury, Stockport

Working any 4-5 night shifts between Monday and Sunday

People Solutions is currently recruiting for a Class 1 Night Driver to join our well-established client based in Bredbury, Stockport.

Rates of Pay

• Basic: £17.74 per hour
• Sunday: £25.34 per hour

Day-to-Day Duties

Your responsibilities as a Class 1 Driver include but are not limited to:

• Operate and drive Class 1 vehicles safely and efficiently to delivery locations
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Load and secure cargo properly
• Follow traffic laws and regulations
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers
• Report vehicle defects or maintenance needs
• Assist with loading and unloading cargo as needed

Candidate Requirements

• Valid UK Category CE Licence
• Minimum 12 months experience driving CE vehicles
• No more than six penalty points for minor infringements and no major endorsements
• Valid UK CPC and Digi Cards
• Proficiency in speaking and reading English
• Punctuality and excellent time management skills
• Good understanding of traffic laws
• Experience with commercial vehicles and multi-drop deliveries

Training

• Driver's assessment required
• Paid two-day induction following successful assessment
• Ongoing industry-related training and support
