Job Opportunity: HGV Class 1 Driver

Location: Preston (Please contact us regarding your application or questions at 0191 230 1050; this contract is managed by the Newcastle branch)

At Blue Arrow, we are seeking reliable and proficient HGV Class 1 Drivers to transport goods from Preston to Midlands Hubs for our esteemed client. The role primarily involves straight trunk runs with occasional collections en route.

Pay Rates:

• Monday - Friday: £17.20 per hour, £23.44 OT after 8 hours
• Saturday: £21.89 per hour, £23.44 OT after 8 hours
• Sunday: £24.44 per hour (all hours)

Start times vary from 13:45 to 19:30. The client operates year-round with a busy period towards the year's end.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Complete pre-departure vehicle checks
• Transport goods between planned sites and drops
• Complete paperwork and ensure compliance
• Follow tachograph and working time regulations

Qualifications:

• HGV Class 1 entitlement
• CPC certification
• Digi tacho card
• At least 1 year of driving experience within the last 12 months

Applicants must not have more than 6 points or any DR/DG/CD/DD/BA on their license.
