Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. is seeking an experienced HGV Class 1 driver for Sainsbury's in Leeds. This permanent, full-time role offers day and night shifts with a 42.75-hour week and a start time window of 22:00 - 00:45.

An hourly rate of £19.79 plus a night shift premium of £3.53 per hour (18:00-06:00) applies, with 28 days leave and several employee benefits. Responsibilities include delivering to stores, handling refrigerated trailers, completing paperwork on time, and complying with driver hours

Qualifications

• Valid UK HGV Class 1 licence with C+E entitlement.
• Driver Qualification and Digital Tachograph Cards.
• No more than 6 penalty points.
• Knowledge of North England road network.

Responsibilities

• Deliver products to customer stores and collect goods from suppliers accurately.
• Operate refrigerated trailers safely and maintain correct temperatures.
• Complete all paperwork accurately and on time.

Job description

Are you an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver and r eady to hit the road with a leading logistics operation?

We are looking for Class 1 Drivers to join the GXO team at Sainsbury's in Leeds with both day and night shift options available.

This is a permanent, full time role.

You will be contracted to work 42.75 hours per week on the shift pattern of any 4 and 5 days out of 7 covering night shift hours with a start time 22:00 - 00:45.

What you will do on a typical day:

• Deliver products to customer’s stores and collect goods from suppliers accurately, in a timely and professional manner
• Operate refrigerated trailers in a safe, legal, and efficient manner ensuring correct temperature settings
• Complete all necessary paperwork correctly, in full and on time
• Be compliant with Driver’s hours, Tachograph, Working Time, and Road Traffic Act regulations

What you need to succeed at GXO:

• Full UK driving licence with category C+E entitlement
• Valid Driver Qualification and Digital Tachograph Cards
• No more than 6 current penalty points
• No DR, DG, DD, BA, CD, AC, LC or TT99 endorsements within the previous 5 years
• Knowledge of North England road network
