Job Description

Pure Staff are recruiting for HGV Class 1 Drivers for day shifts with immediate starts in Pineham, Northampton. The role involves working a Monday to Friday shift pattern with the following details:

• Pay rate: £17.00 per hour (PAYE only, excludes holiday pay which is paid separately)
• Site induction, driving assessment, and drug & alcohol tests are required and must be passed to be considered.

Responsibilities

• Deliveries using a tail lift/side gate and kick plate
• Roll cage and pipe deliveries
• Handling cages up to 250kg with heavy handball
• Maintaining modern, well-maintained trucks
• Performing daily vehicle checks
• Dealing professionally with customers
• Wearing PPE (safety boots and hi-vis) at all times

Shift Details

Start times vary between 06:00 and midday. Shifts can be long, averaging 10 to 12 hours, with a mix of short and long shifts.

Candidate Requirements

• Valid HGV C+E (Class 1) license
• At least 2 years’ experience
• Valid CPC card
• Valid Digital Tachograph card
• Clean license with no more than 6 points (no TT, TS, MS, DR, DD codes)
