Job summary

FORDE RECRUITMENT LIMITED is recruiting Class 1 HIAB drivers for a prominent logistics client. Based at the Barnsley site, you will deliver nationwide to RDCs and support crane loading/unloading operations.

The role requires a full HGV C+E licence, 24 months’ experience, and strong English communication. You’ll work on a Monday–Friday schedule with additional night-out payments, and there are ongoing shifts and paid holidays on offer.

Qualifications

• Hold a full HGV C+E driving licence.
• Minimum of 24 months' driving experience.
• Good level of English speaking and written communication.
• Maximum of 6 points on your licence (DD/TT/CD/IN not accepted).

Responsibilities

• Deliver nationwide to RDCs.
• Assist loading/unloading goods using the mounted crane.
• Complete transport administration and paperwork.
• Comply with EU Driver Hours and RTD Regulations.
• Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle checks.

Job description

Our client, a leading Logistics Company are currently looking to recruit a number of Class 1 HIAB drivers to work on their behalf.

Based out of their flagship Barnsley site you will be responsible for delivering nationwide to RDCs.

Class 1 HIAB Job Description:

As a Class 1 HIAB Driver, you will be responsible for safe and efficient product transportation across the country. Key duties include completing necessary transport administration, driving in a fuel-efficient manner, ensuring compliance with all EU Driver Hours and RTD Regulations, Adhering to safe systems of work, and conducting pre and post vehicle checks in addition to assisting in the loading and offloading goods using the mounted crane.

Class 1 HIAB Rates (PAYE)

Monday - Friday 0700 start - £19.00 per hour

£25 per Night Out

Requirements:

• Hold a full HGV C+E driving licence.
• Possess a minimum of 24 months' driving experience for Driver Negligible Incident (DNI).
• Demonstrate a good level of English speaking and written communication skills.
• Have a maximum of 6 points on your licence for minor offenses (DD, TT, DR, CD, IN endorsements will not be accepted).
• Possess a UK Driving Licence, Digi Tachograph Card, and CPC Card.
