Job summary

XPO is seeking Class 1 HGV Drivers to join our British Gypsum site in Barrow Upon Soar on a permanent contract. You’ll work a Monday to Friday day shift starting around 05:00, with a competitive hourly rate of £17.05 per hour and the opportunity to work extra shifts.

Typical duties include trunking full loads between British Gypsum sites and pulling new trailers. We operate a safety‑driven environment with FORS compliance; loads are handled by site teams and cameras and reporting are in place to

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence with C+E entitlement.
• No more than six penalty points; no DD/DR/IN/CD endorsements.
• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• Excellent knowledge of the UK road network.

Job description

You’ll be working a Monday to Friday shift pattern, working day shift.

You’ll be working a Monday to Friday shift pattern , working days start time 05:00. In return, we’ll offer you a competitive hourly rate of £17.05 per hour, with the opportunity to work extra shifts on top. Saturday £25.58 per hour Sunday £34.10 per hour.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

• Trunk full loads between British Gypsum sites
• Drive new equipment and pull new trailers
• Work in an environment that is highly safety driven. Our sites are Silver Standard FORS compliant
• No manual handling, all loads are loaded and tipped by British Gypsum

What you need to succeed at XPO:

• We’ll need you to have a full UK driving licence (with C+Eentitlement),
• You’ll have no more than six penalty points on your licence and no DD, DR, IN, or CD endorsements.
• A valid CPC and Digital Tacho card
• Excellent knowledge of the UK road network
