Gi Group is recruiting for a Class 1 Driver in Dunstable. The role involves trunking loads, depot-to-depot movements, and maintaining tachograph records. Training will be provided to adhere to the client’s professional standards.

We are seeking reliable drivers with a minimum of 2 years on Class 1, CPC and Digi Tachograph cards, and availability across weekends for this ongoing role.

Qualificações

• Valid UK Driver Cards (Driving Licence, CPC and Digi Tachograph Card) required.
• Minimum 2 years Class 1 licence & 2 years regular Class 1 driving experience.
• Availability to work weekends for a 24/7 operation.

Contract: Ongoing Temporary (Year-round stability)

Earnings: From £20.34ph up to £29.42ph

Class 1 Driver Opportunity

Join Gi Group supporting our client based in Dunstable, as a Class 1 Trunk Driver.

This isn't just seasonal help; we are looking for professional drivers for a long-term partnership.

Role & Responsibilities

• Parcel & Mail Bulk Loads (Depot to Depot & Collections)
• Trunking Work, no handball
• Conducting thorough vehicle checks and maintaining accurate digital tachograph records.
• Drivers must drive as per clients professional standards which you will be coached and trained on
• Ability to manage your Working Time Directive, and Driving Hours rules and Regulations in order to meet compliance expectations, and avoid infringement
• Acting as a professional face of the brand when arriving at stores

Shifts

• Monday to Sunday
• Varius start times available between 12:00 - 19:00

Pay Rates - Please note the below includes your advanced holiday pay

• Weekday STD £20.34ph
• Weekday Overtime £28.29ph (8hrs+)
• Saturday STD £26.35ph
• Saturday Overtime £28.29ph (8hrs+)
• Sunday STD £29.42ph
• Sunday Overtime £29.42ph

Class 1 Driver Requirements

• Valid UK Driver Cards (Driving Licence, CPC and DIGI Cards)
• Minimum 2 years Class 1 licence & 2 years regular Class 1 driving experience
• Previous experience in store deliveries would be preferred, but is not essential
• Max 6 penalty points accepted for minor offences (no DR or DD, CD offences)
• Availability to work weekends is essential for this 24/7 operation
• Will have the ability to demonstrate excellent customer service and communication skills, as well as an attention to detail
