Job description

Savanna Staff Solutions are urgently recruiting for a Class 1 driver for our mail delivery operations across various branches in London and the surrounding counties.

Start times are in the PM (from midday), and the role involves trunking runs between depots, with possible cage pushing.

Daily Responsibilities:

1. Performing pre- and post-vehicle inspections to ensure HGV roadworthiness.
2. Driving trunk routes from depot to depot, including trailer swaps at operating centres.
3. Following correct procedures and operating systems.
4. Maintaining high standards of driving safety and professionalism.

Candidate Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of provable Cat CE (Class 1) experience on the road.
• Valid UK Licence, Digi card, and CPC DQC card.
• Right to work in the UK (9-digit settlement share code).
• Good spoken and written English.

Applicants with at least 6 months of continuous driving (minimum 2 days per week over 12 months) are encouraged to apply. Successful candidates will be offered ongoing work throughout the year.

Role Details:

This role is paid hourly, with elevated overtime rates after 8 hours, and higher pay on weekends and bank holidays. We operate under an Umbrella PAYE model—please contact us for more details.
