Job summary

Manpower UK is recruiting Class 1 Drivers for ongoing temporary roles in Woking. The role involves safe operation of Class 1 vehicles, delivering mail and parcels, and maintaining accurate records.

The position offers varied shifts and a strong support structure within a renowned logistics organisation. Ideal candidates will hold a UK C+E licence, CPC and Tachograph Card, with up to 6 penalty points and at least 1 year of HGV experience, plus solid knowledge of UK road transport rules.

Qualifications

• Valid UK C+E driving licence is required.
• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• No more than 6 penalty points and no serious driving endorsements.
• 1 year of HGV driving experience in a logistics or distribution environment.
• Strong knowledge of UK road transport legislation and vehicle safety.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate Class 1 vehicle on planned routes between distribution centres and delivery locations.
• Transport mail, parcels and freight efficiently while meeting delivery schedules.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report defects in line with procedures.
• Load and unload vehicles safely while securing all goods.
• Complete delivery paperwork and electronic records accurately.
• Work independently while maintaining communication with the operations team.
• Follow all road transport legislation, health and safety regulations and company policies.
