Job summary

KPI Recruiting Ltd in Cumbernauld is seeking a Class 1 Driver for local refrigerated deliveries with up to four drops per shift. The role requires a UK Class 1 CE Licence, DCPC, and Tachograph Card, with training provided for refrigerated trailers and a strong focus on customer service.

Shifts can start early mornings with various availability (Sun-Thu, Mon-Fri, Tue-Sat) or ad-hoc. Excellent teamwork and reliability are essential for meeting deadlines.

Qualifications

• Must hold UK Class 1 CE Licence.
• Current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
• Experience of refrigerated trailers is preferred but not essential.
• Minimum 6 months experience.

Responsibilities

• Use a refrigerated trailer with tail lift to make multi drop deliveries to retail stores in the central belt area.
• Ensure goods are loaded and secured correctly to prevent shifting or damage.
• Use straps, nets, and other securing devices as needed.
• Perform daily vehicle safety checks using your company phone to maintain vehicle safety and reliability.
• Stay in regular communication with the transport team to provide progress updates and meet customer expectations.
• Participate in regular training sessions to stay up-to-date with industry standards.

KPI Recruiting are on the look out for a Class 1 Driver for our client based in Cumbernauld.

As a Class 1 Driver your days and hours are:

• 5am/6am starts

  Sun to Thurs avail

  Mon to Fri avail

  Tues to Sat avail

  Or just adhoc shifts

  Local deliveries. Max 4 drops

The rate of pay as a Class 1 Driver is:

Days are £18

Nights £19

Saturday £21

Sunday £22

The duties and responsibilities as a Class 1 Driver are:

• Use a refrigerated trailer with use of a tail lift to make multi drop deliveries to retail stores in the central belt area
• Ensure goods are loaded and secured correctly to prevent shifting or damage
• Use straps, nets, and other securing devices as needed
• Perform comprehensive daily vehicle safety checks using your company phone to maintain top-notch vehicle safety and reliability
• Stay in regular communication with the transport team to provide updates on your progress and ensure our customers' expectations are met
• Participate in regular training sessions to stay ahead with the latest industry standards and best practices
• Complete shunting duties in the yard once deliveries are completed

The ideal candidate for a Class 1 Driver would require:

• Must hold a UK Class 1 CE Licence
• Current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card
• Experience of refrigerated trailers is preferred but not essential as full training will be provided
• Passionate about providing excellent customer service
• Ability to work to deadlines
