Job summary

Boughey Distribution Limited is seeking a Class 1 Driver for night shifts at our Hawton site. The role covers deliveries across Cheshire and surrounding areas, with a 5 on, 3 off pattern.

You will perform vehicle checks at shift start and end, ensure safe loading and accurate handover, and support yard operations as required. You must hold a valid category C&E license, CPC and tachograph card, and have prior Class 1 experience.

Qualifications

• Valid category C&E license is essential.
• Current CPC and tachograph card with a good understanding of driver hours regulations.
• Previous experience driving Class 1 vehicles is essential.
• Excellent communication skills to handle customer queries at point of delivery and collaborate with the Boughey team on site.

Responsibilities

• Complete vehicle checks at the start and end of each shift, complying with all HGV driving rules to ensure vehicles are well-maintained.
• Ensure safe and prompt delivery of goods across Cheshire and surrounding areas.
• Manoeuvre trucks into loading and unloading positions, securing loads, and providing support in the yard including handball or pump truck deliveries where required.
