Job summary

Class 1 Personnel are recruiting a Class 1 Driver for a major mail company based at Crawley Gatwick RH10 9AA. The role focuses on safe delivery of mail and parcels in London, with full-time temporary status with potential to go permanent.

Responsibilities include operating Class 1 vehicles between UK depots, loading/unloading, and following routes while complying with safety guidelines. Shifts vary and an assessment is required.

Qualifications

• UK Class 1 (CE) licence with CPC & Tacho card.
• Minimum of 5 years verifiable work history.
• Clean UK criminal record or police clearance if required.
• Proof of right to work and National Insurance.
• Flexible availability including days, nights and weekends.

• Load/unload mail and parcels as needed.
• Follow pre-planned trunking routes.
• Complete daily vehicle checks and maintain logs.
• Communicate with dispatchers and supervisors.
• Ensure all safety and compliance procedures are followed.

Job description

Class 1 Personnel are currently recruiting Class 1 Driver for one of the largest mail companies based at Crawley Gatwick RH10 9AA.

Class 1 Drivers role mainly consists of delivering mail and parcels in the safest way following all Health and Safety guidelines in London. This is a Full-Time Temporary role with a chance of becoming Permanent.

Logistics Distribution and supply chain.

You Must Have:

• UK Class 1 (CE) Licence + CPC & Tacho card
• Minimum of 5 years verifiable work history - HMRC/PTA
• Clean UK criminal record (check required) or Police clearance certificate if required
• Strong work ethic, attention to detail, reliability
• Proof of right to work & National Insurance
• Flexible availability - days, nights, weekends

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate Class 1 vehicles between UK depots
• Load/unload mail and parcels as needed

Salary:

• Pay Rate: £22.41 p/h to £ 25.53 p/h

Shifts:

• AM SHIFTS / PM SHIFTS available.

Rota-based - must be flexible with days/timings

Candidates will need to complete an assessment (theory + practical).
