Job description

Driver Support Services has the opportunity for Class 1 work with our client in Chelmsford during their peak period. The client is a major parcel delivery network.

The work is temporary and ongoing.

Candidates must be fully flexible, as shifts include days and nights, weekdays and weekends, with trunking work involving cages. Flexibility with start times and days will result in more shift availability.

Minimum 2 years experience in Class 1 driving, with recent digi card history.

Infringements will be checked before assessment. More than 10 infringements in 12 months or more than 3 for rest or driver hours will disqualify you from assessment.

No more than 3 points for speeding convictions.

An assessment will be arranged, and a DBS check will be conducted for you.

Your shifts will be communicated via an online platform called Joined Up.

The work involves trunking between depots with cages, which will need unloading and occasionally loading.

Umbrella pay rates:

• Class 1 days: GBP 24/hr, nights: GBP 26/hr
• Class 2 days: GBP 23/hr, nights: GBP 25/hr
• 7.5t days: GBP 18.50/hr, nights: GBP 21/hr
