HGV Driver/ Class 1 - With the recent expansion and purchase of our new fleet, we are looking for multiple HGV Drivers to join our road haulage partner Baker Transport, working from Felixstowe, Suffolk.

About The Role

As our HGV Driver, you will be a vital part of our Baker Transport logistics team, responsible for the safe and timely transportation of goods to our clients. Your expertise will ensure delivery compliance with company and legal standards, making you an essential player in our mission to deliver top-notch service. You will enjoy a dynamic working environment with daily challenges and opportunities to excel, while being valued as part of the Cory team. Shifts may be up to 12 hours per day (Monday - Friday), with the option to work additional overtime on weekends and Bank Holidays, which is paid accordingly.

Main Duties And Responsibilities

• Safely deliver goods, plan efficient routes, and adhere to delivery schedules.
• Conduct daily pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, ensuring roadworthiness and cleanliness.
• Complete delivery paperwork accurately, including delivery notes and tachograph records, complying with UK and EU regulations.
• Act as the face of the company when delivering containers.

About You

You are a dedicated and professional HGV Driver with a valid HGV Licence (Categories C or C+E), current CPC qualification, and digital tachograph card. For insurance purposes, you must be at least 25 years old with a minimum of 2 years' HGV driving experience. You have a solid logistics or transport background, excellent safety record, and familiarity with UK road networks. Your attention to detail ensures accurate documentation, and you are prepared to handle unexpected challenges positively.
