Job summary

Gi Group are recruiting for an experienced Class 1 driver for a client based in Coleshill, near Birmingham. The role involves national and local pallet deliveries, using a PDA and working to a tight schedule.

The driver must hold a UK Class 1 licence with 1 year of experience, CPC and Digi card, and have no more than 6 points. PAYE rate offered at £17.65 per hour, including advanced holiday pay.

Qualifications

• UK Class 1 licence with 1 year of Class 1 experience.
• CPC and Digi card in date.
• No more than 6 points on licence; other endorsements/convictions not accepted.

Responsibilities

• 3–8 drops per day of pallets.
• National and local deliveries.
• Use of PDA machine required.
• Handball may be required from time to time.

Class 1 pay rate

• Days - £17.65 per hour including advanced holiday pay (PAYE only no umbrellas)

Class 1 shifts

• 3 - 8 drops per day of pallets.


• Use of PDA Machine is required.


• Handball maybe required from time to time.


• National & Local deliveries are expected.

Class 1 Driver requirements and skills:

• In date, UK, class 1 licence with 1 year's class 1 experience


• In date CPC and digi card


• No more than 6 points on licence, speeding offences only no other endorsements/convictions can be accepted


• Strong work ethic, reliable, flexible, Upbeat, self-motivated and resilient - are welcomed in this role.


• Able to work on tight schedule whilst maintaining high safety standards throughout.


• You must have good geographical knowledge
