Job summary

KPI Recruiting are supporting a client based in Bellshill in their search for a Class 1 Driver. You will work on a 5 out of 7 days rota starting early, handling multi-drop deliveries to retail stores with a refrigerated trailer and tail lift.

Responsibilities include loading and securing goods, recording daily vehicle checks, and maintaining clear communication with the transport team to meet customer expectations. Full training provided where needed.

Qualifications

• Must hold a UK Class 1 CE Licence.
• Current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
• Experience of refrigerated trailers is preferred but training will be provided.
• Excellent customer service and ability to meet deadlines.
• Confident, polite, and a team player; self-motivated.
• Minimum 6 months experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate refrigerated trailer with tail lift for multi-drop deliveries to retail stores in the central belt area.
• Ensure goods are loaded and secured correctly to prevent shifting or damage.
• Use straps, nets, and other securing devices as needed.
• Perform comprehensive daily vehicle safety checks using your company phone.
• Stay in regular communication with the transport team to update progress and meet customer expectations.
• Attend training sessions to stay updated with industry standards.
• Complete shunting duties in the yard after deliveries.

KPI Recruiting are on the look out for a Class 1 Driver for our client based in Bellshill.

As a Class 1 Driver your days and hours are:

• 5 out of 7 days per week
• 06:00/09:00- varied finish time

The rate of pay as a Class 1 Driver is:

• £17.50 - £20.00p/h

The duties and responsibilities as a Class 1 Driver are:

• Use a refrigerated trailer with use of a tail lift to make multi drop deliveries to retail stores in the central belt area
• Ensure goods are loaded and secured correctly to prevent shifting or damage
• Use straps, nets, and other securing devices as needed
• Perform comprehensive daily vehicle safety checks using your company phone to maintain top-notch vehicle safety and reliability
• Stay in regular communication with the transport team to provide updates on your progress and ensure our customers' expectations are met
• Participate in regular training sessions to stay ahead with the latest industry standards and best practices
• Complete shunting duties in the yard once deliveries are completed

The ideal candidate for a Class 1 Driver would require:

• Must hold a UK Class 1 CE Licence
• Current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card
• Experience of refrigerated trailers is preferred but not essential as full training will be provided
