Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc in Knottingley is recruiting an experienced Class 1 Driver to operate on the TJX contract. This full-time, permanent role offers 48 hours per week across 9.6-hour shifts, with patterns across five days from seven.

Duties include transporting goods between TJX sites and liaising with the transport office. Salary is £43,555.20 per year with 28 days’ leave, a company pension, plus access to GXO University and additional benefits.

Qualifications

• Full EU driving licence with category C+E entitlement.
• Valid Driver Qualification Card (Driver CPC).
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
• No more than 6 penalty points.
• No DR, DG, DD, BA, CD, AC, LC or TT99 endorsements in last 5 years.

Responsibilities

• Transport goods between TJX sites (approx 3/4 drops per shift).
• Communicate with transport office about delays or changes.
• Shunting experience is advantageous for holiday cover.
• Adhere to driving, safety and vehicle operation policies.
• Carry out pre- and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.

Here at GXO Knottingley (WF11 0AB) we’re looking for Class 1 Driver to join our team working on the TJX contract.

You’ll be working on a full-time, permanent basis, 48 hours per week, consisting of 9.6‑hour shifts, worked on any 5 days out of 7. The following shift patterns are available:

• Monday to Friday: 09:00 start
• Tuesday to Saturday: 09:00 start
• Sunday to Thursday: 15:00 start
• Sunday to Thursday: 22:00 start

What you’ll do on a typical day

• Transport goods between TJX sites; this may involve collections from vendors (approx 3/4 drops per shift)
• Communicate effectively with the transport office regarding any delays, issues, or changes during journeys
• Shunting experience would be an advantage to help cover for holiday leave
• Adhere to all relevant legislation and company policies pertaining to driving, safety and vehicle operation
• Conduct pre‑ and post‑trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure road worthiness
• Perform any other duties related to the role as required

What you need to succeed at GXO

• A full EU driving licence with category C+E entitlement

• Be in possession of a valid Digital Tachograph Card
• No more than 6 current penalty points
• No DR, DG, DD, BA, CD, AC, LC or TT99 endorsements with a conviction date within the previous 5 years
