Job summary

Kinaxia Logistics Gateshead, Tyne and Wear, England is recruiting a Class 1 Dayshift Driver to join our team at the Gateshead site. This full-time role covers Monday to Friday with one in four Saturdays and a dayshift pattern. Salary £32,007.25 plus meal allowance and benefits.

You'll perform daily vehicle checks, ensure deliveries on time, follow procedures and the Highway Code, maintain safety standards, and comply with tachograph regulations. A valid Class 1 licence and CPC are required.

Qualifications

• Hold a full LGV C&E (Class 1) licence for minimum of two years.
• Valid Driver Qualification Card (DQC)/Driver CPC.
• Own a valid Digital Tachograph Card.
• Good communication skills and geographical knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Complete daily vehicle checks to ensure roadworthiness.
• Arrive on time and update traffic office with any issues.
• Follow company, customer procedures and the Highway Code.
• Maintain health and safety standards at all times.

About the Job

• Ensure you complete daily vehicle checks to make sure your vehicle is roadworthy and safe to use.
• Ensure you arrive at your job on time, informing the traffic office of any issues.
• Follow all company procedures, customer procedures and the Highway Code
• Maintain all health and safety standards.
• Complete all deliveries and collections as manifested.
• Comply with all EU tachograph and WTD regulations.
• Ensure your vehicle is kept clean and tidy.

Your knowledge and experience
