Job summary

Pure Staff in the Rugby area is recruiting for a Class 1 Day Tramper Driver for ongoing regional store deliveries within a retail distribution operation. The role offers regular shifts, flexible start times, and potential progression to permanent employment.

Benefits include long-term ongoing work with a supportive transport team, modern fleet, and the option of rolled-up holiday pay. Rates start at £17.06 per hour PAYE rising to £25.78 per hour with holiday pay.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 1 (Category C+E) driving licence required.
• Valid Driver CPC qualification card required.
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card required.
• Strong understanding of drivers’ hours legislation.
• Ability to complete electronic PODs and delivery paperwork accurately.
• Comfortable with manual handling and cage deliveries.

Responsibilities

• Complete regional store deliveries within a designated area.
• Unload cages and perform handball duties when required.
• Record deliveries using electronic POD devices.
• Complete delivery paperwork accurately and on time.
• Carry out daily vehicle safety checks and adhere to drivers' hours rules.
