Job summary

Gregory Distribution Ltd. in Newport is seeking a Class 1 Day Driver to operate a curtain-sided trailer and deliver cardboard products to customer sites across South Wales and the South West.

You will load and secure goods, perform daily vehicle checks, stay in touch with the transport team, and take part in regular DCPC training to stay aligned with industry standards. 48-hour week with overtime at enhanced rates.

Qualifications

• Must hold a UK Class 1 CE Licence.
• Current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
• Passionate about providing excellent customer service.
• Ability to work to deadlines.
• Confident, polite, and a team player.
• Good geographical knowledge.
• Fit, flexible, hardworking, and self-motivated.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently operate a curtain-sided trailer, delivering cardboard products to customer sites across South Wales and the South West.
• Ensure goods are loaded and secured correctly to prevent shifting or damage.
• Perform comprehensive daily vehicle safety checks using your company phone.
• Stay in regular communication with the transport team to provide updates and meet customer expectations.
• Participate in regular training sessions to stay ahead with industry standards.
