Job summary

DHL is recruiting a Class 1 Day Driver for the Daventry area. The role involves safe transport and delivery of products with a strong emphasis on customer service, compliance, and vehicle safety.

The position is permanent and full-time, with Monday to Friday shifts starting between 6am-8am or 9am-11am. A valid Class 1 licence and Driver CPC are essential, with duties including paperwork, load security, and interaction with customers.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Class 1 licence.
• Driver CPC qualification required.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport and deliver products in line with company, customer and legislative requirements.
• Complete daily vehicle checks, report defects and maintain vehicle cleanliness and operational standards.
• Accurately complete delivery paperwork, PODs and other transport documentation.
• Secure loads correctly, perform product checks and report any shortages, damages or discrepancies.
• Maintain regular communication with the transport team and represent DHL professionally when interacting with customers.
