Job summary

CDL Personnel Ltd is recruiting experienced Class 1 HGV drivers for a client in the Fakenham area. The role involves local and regional deliveries with a curtainsider, including paper reels, timber and building products, and a minimum 10-hour daily guarantee at a competitive £20 per hour.

You will be expected to load, secure loads with ratchet straps, complete paperwork, maintain records, conduct daily vehicle checks, and provide a professional service to customers while complying with drivers'

Qualifications

• Class 1 (C+E) qualification is required.
• Experience driving a curtainsider is essential.
• Comfortable using ratchet straps and securing loads.
• Customer-focused with good communication skills.
• Good understanding of drivers' hours and related regulations.

Responsibilities

• Drive a Class 1 curtainsider vehicle.
• Carry out local and regional deliveries from Fakenham.
• Occasionally perform multi-drop deliveries.
• Load, secure and transport goods safely.
• Use load-securing equipment correctly.
• Ensure loads are secured per regulations.
• Complete delivery paperwork and maintain records.
• Provide a professional service to customers.
• Conduct daily vehicle checks and report defects.
