Job summary

Interaction Recruitment Southampton is seeking HGV C+E Class 1 Container Drivers for a role near the ports in Southampton (SO40). You will transport and collect containers on trunk runs, with start times across a 24/7 operation.

Day shifts £17 per hour, night shifts £19 per hour. Overtime rates apply: 1.5x after 40 hours and 2x on bank holidays. PAYE with holiday accrual. Induction is required before first assignment; container experience preferred but not essential.

Qualifications

• Reliability and a positive work ethic.
• Induction/Assessment prior to first assignment.
• HGV C+E (Class 1) license required.
• In-date CPC and Digital Tachograph Card required.
• Container transport experience preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Transport and collect containers on trunk runs.
• Ensure loads are secured safely for transport.
• Work across a 24/7 operation with variable start times.
• Typical pattern: Monday to Friday with possible weekend shifts.
• Deliver safely and in a timely manner.
