Job summary

SRG Recruitment Ltd in Southampton is seeking experienced Class 1 / C+E drivers for day and night shifts. The work includes container haulage, port deliveries, refrigerated and curtain-side loads across local and regional routes.

Applicants must hold a full HGV Class 1 licence and CPC, with proven UK driving experience. Umbrella and PAYE rates are available; typical rates are £20–£22 per hour with 10 hours guaranteed per shift.

Qualifications

• Full HGV Class 1 / C+E licence (LGV1) and valid CPC.
• Proven UK Class 1 HGV driving experience.
• Container/port/dock experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drive HGV Class 1 / C+E vehicles (day and night).
• Container haulage and port/container terminal work.
• Deliver to customer sites, warehouses and depots.
• Complete PODs and use PDA systems.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report defects.
