Job summary

The Best Connection is seeking an experienced HGV Cat C+E driver to join our client based in Southampton. This ongoing role offers potential for full-time permanent work. Salary is £17.00–£18.50 per hour, with shifts Monday to Friday and a 10-hour minimum. On-site parking is available and overtime may be offered on weekends.

• No hand-balling involved; ensure containers secured and perform vehicle checks.
• Report issues to the night manager.

Salary - £17.00 / £18.50 per hour

Shift Pattern - Monday to Friday 10 hour minimum

Location - Southampton

Start Time - AM OR PM SHIFTS

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

• - Delivering and collecting containers from the dock to local companies or Trunking up to Midlands.
• - Day or Night trunking up to the midlands with General Haulage so Curtain side double decker work
• - No hand-balling involved
• - Vehicle checks, making sure the containers are secured
• - Reporting any issues to the night manager

WHAT IS REQUIRED/BENEFITS:

• - Full UK Class 1 licence

• - Must complete driving assessment & induction
• - Container experience is essential
• - Must have been in and out of the docks
