Job summary

Adler and Allan Group is seeking a Class 1 ADR Tanker Driver in Manchester for a permanent, full-time role. You will operate HGV/ADR tankers, ensuring safe operations and compliance with laws, while supporting on-site customer service and vehicle checks.

This role requires relevant licenses, the ability to manage hazardous goods, and a flexible approach to overtime and training as the team delivers essential environmental and infrastructure services across the UK.

Qualifications

• Must hold HGV/ADR tanker licence (Class 1) and related categories.
• Experience with dangerous goods is advantageous.
• Good problem solving skills and a can-do attitude.
• Knowledge of tachograph regulations.
• Willingness to stay away overnight when required.
• Willingness to undertake additional training.

Responsibilities

• Operate Company vehicles including HGV & ADR class vehicles and perform pre-trip checks.
• Uplift and offload products safely with proper PPE.
• Liaise with customers on site in a professional manner.
• Comply with tachograph regulations and report as required.
• Report vehicle defects to supervision and complete paperwork timely.
• Ensure ADR vehicles display appropriate placards at all times.
• Communicate workload updates with management and team.
• Undertake any required training and other duties as qualified.
