Job summary

Adler and Allan is seeking a Class 2 ADR Tanker Driver in Waltham Cross. The role involves operating HGV and ADR class vehicles, ensuring safety, and performing all vehicle checks and paperwork. The driver will liaise with customers on site and comply with tachograph regulations and safety standards.

Applicants should hold relevant HGV/ADR licences, have knowledge of dangerous goods, and be willing to stay overnight when required. Additional training to support the division may be provided.

Qualifications

• Must possess licence categories to operate HGV/ADR including tanks, minimum class 2 licence.
• Experience with dangerous goods is an advantage.
• Good problem solving skills.
• Knowledge of tachograph regulations.
• Willingness to undertake overnight stays when required.
• Willingness to undertake any additional training to increase capability of the division.

Responsibilities

• Operate Company vehicles including HGV and ADR class vehicles.
• Undertake vehicle checks prior to works.
• Uplift and offload products and materials safely and compliantly.
• Liaise with customers on site in a professional manner.
• Ensure tachograph regulations are followed and reported as required.
• Complete works paperwork and submit to supervision promptly.
• Ensure ADR vehicles display correct placards and carry required documents.
• Communicate workload updates to management and team.

In addition, the ADR Driver will undertake duties associated with that of an operator.

More about the role:

• Operating Company vehicles including HGV & ADR class vehicles or any other vehicle for which the ADR Driver is suitably qualified to operate and full responsibility for ensuring all vehicle checks are undertaken prior to commencing any works.
• Ensure all uplifting and offloading of product and materials are undertaken in the correct and compliant manner with high regard for health and safety and correct working practices and ensuring correct PPE worn for each task.
• Liaison with customers on site in an approachable and professional manner. Discuss on-going works and further services of the Company where required.
• Compliance with tachograph regulations and reporting in the required manner.
• Reporting any vehicle defects to supervision as soon as identified. The ADR Driver will be required to complete vehicle defect report in such circumstances.
• Completion of all works paperwork and submission in a timely manner to divisional supervision.
• Ensuring all ADR vehicles display appropriate placards during transportation and any time stationary. The ADR Driver holds full responsibility for ensuring they are in possession of the correct written instruction document referring to the materials being transported.
• Liaison with management and working closely with the broader team, ensuring communication of workload updates / changes are relayed on to ensure best service is provided.
• Undertake any required training
• Any other duties for which the ADR Driver is qualified for and capable of undertaking.

Qualifications

• Must possess relative licence categories to operate and control HGV/ADR including tanks, minimum class 2 licence.
• Previous knowledge and experience of working with dangerous goods is an advantage.
• Good problem solving skills / attitude
• Knowledge of tachograph regulations.
• Can do attitude with a willingness to undertake tasks last minute and prepared to stay out overnight when the need is required.
• Willingness to undertake any additional training to increase capability of the division in supplying a service to customers.
