Job summary

Recon Services Ltd seeks an experienced HGV Class 1 Night Driver with ADR to join our team in Beverley. You will transport goods during night shifts, primarily using flatbed lorries, while prioritising safety and on-time deliveries.

The role requires a valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence, Driver CPC, digital tachograph card and ADR qualification. You will work independently across Palletline and Hazchem networks, ensuring trailers are ready for day shifts and compliance with all regulations.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Complete scheduled night trunking runs across Palletline and Hazchem networks.
• Tipping, reloading and reloading trailers at hubs.
• Manage driving hours and tachograph breaks to meet schedule.
• Ensure a timely return to Beverley to avoid day shift delays.
• Follow road safety, ADR and company procedures.
• Open trailer curtains on return to Beverley depot before clocking off.
• Maintain a professional, dependable and safety-conscious approach.

Job description

We are seeking a professional HGV Class 1 Night Driver with ADR certification to join our team. This role involves the safe and efficient transportation of goods during night shifts, primarily utilising flatbed lorries for deliveries. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, experience in commercial driving, and familiarity with ADR regulations. This position offers an excellent opportunity for experienced drivers seeking a night shift role with a reputable company committed to safety and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Completing scheduled night trunking runs across the Palletline and Hazchem networks.
• Tipping, part-reloading and reloading trailers at designated hubs.
• Managing driving hours and tachograph breaks effectively to maintain the required schedule.
• Ensuring a direct and timely return to Beverley to avoid delays to the day shift.
• Following all road safety, ADR and company procedures.
• Fully opening your trailer curtains on arrival back at Beverley depot before clocking off. This is a mandatory requirement on every route.
• Maintaining a professional, dependable and safety-conscious approach throughout each shift.

The Role:

3 rotating shifts:

All truncking shifts, palletline - trailor swaps

Qualifications

• A valid HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) driving licence.
• A valid Driver CPC and digital tachograph card.
• An existing ADR qualification.
• A strong work ethic and a reliable, professional attitude.
• The ability to work independently and confidently in busy pallet network hubs.
• Good time-management skills and an understanding of drivers' hours and tachograph regulations.
