Job summary

AKG (UK) EMPLOYMENT LIMITED is seeking a Claims & Payments Officer to support the accurate processing of claims and financial administration for a major employment programme. Based in Birmingham, you will ensure timely processing, complete checks, and maintain audit-ready records in line with procedures and service standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in a finance administration, claims, payments, payroll, accounts payable or similar processing environment.
• Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
• Good organisational skills, with the ability to manage workload and meet deadlines.
• Good Excel and IT skills, with the ability to work accurately with financial data.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills, with confidence raising queries where information is incomplete or unclear.
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately.
• A reliable, organised and collaborative approach to work.

Responsibilities

• Process allocated claims and associated information accurately and within agreed timescales.
• Complete required checks and processing activity in accordance with documented procedures, controls and service standards.
• Support reconciliations, payment administration and other financial activities associated with the claims process.
• Maintain relevant claims, payment and exception information accurately within agreed systems and records.
• Manage allocated workload effectively and contribute to team quality, productivity and timeliness targets.
