Overview

Salary: £45,000.00 – £55,000.00 + 10% performance bonus

Location: Exeter (Cornwall/Devon area)

Employment type: Full-time, Permanent

Job Summary

Investigate claims on-site and determine resolutions under the NHBC Buildmark Cover within prescribed financial limits. Promote NHBC's services and foster good customer relations.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Examine documents and property history to establish NHBC policy cover limits.
  • Conduct resolution meetings between homeowners and builders on-site.
  • Investigate claims against the NHBC policy.
  • Diagnose causes of failure and determine liability, considering policy standards.
  • Calculate repair costs using NHBC estimating systems.
  • Prepare remedial work schedules and issue instructions to contractors.
  • Provide technical reports.
  • Notify stakeholders of decisions within authority limits.
  • Assess claim validity and advise on claims exceeding financial limits.
  • Plan workload ahead, supervise repairs up to 9 months, and monitor over a year.
  • Maintain investigation and resolution records for audits.
