Contract: Hybrid - Working up to 4 days from home

Hours: 37.5 Hours, Monday - Friday

Salary: Starting at £27,750 with opportunities for progression

Start Date: 23rd June

Join our dynamic Claims Recoveries team. We are seeking individuals to support our Recovery department. No prior recovery/claims experience? No problem! We provide comprehensive training. If you have strong administrative, communication, and customer service skills, and are comfortable with phone and web chat platforms, this role is ideal for you.

Role Purpose

Your main responsibility is to manage a portfolio of non-fault claims after road traffic accidents, focusing on recovering costs from responsible parties, including third-party insurers, policyholders, and suppliers.

Your duties include setting expectations, providing updates, collecting evidence, and actively progressing claims to close them as non-fault, helping preserve our customers' no-claims discount. As you advance, you'll handle more complex claims like foreign claims, bodily injuries, fraud, and more.

What will you be doing?

  • Communicating via telephone, written correspondence, and web chat with policyholders and stakeholders to update them and resolve claims
  • Handling challenging conversations and complaints professionally
  • Validating claims and ensuring policy validity
  • Updating claims reserves accurately in our systems
  • Using the diary system proactively for claims management
  • Managing scheme claims within agreed terms and notifying insurers
  • Working towards individual and team KPIs
  • Investigating liability, making decisions, and managing disputes
  • Referring suspected fraud to the Specialist Unit
  • Processing incoming payments

What are we looking for?

  • Recovery/claims experience is beneficial but not essential; training provided
  • Experience in telephony with excellent customer service skills
  • Strong attention to detail and data input skills
  • Administrative experience
  • Good IT skills, especially with Excel, Word, and Access (desirable)
  • Proven problem-solving and results delivery
  • Proactive and organized approach to work
