Description:

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Marine & Cargo Practice team at Marsh. This role will be based in Norwich. It is a hybrid role requiring at least three days a week in the office.

Marsh's Global Marine & Cargo Practice is a leading broker and adviser to the maritime and logistics industries on risk and insurance issues. Key areas include Hull and Machinery, Marine liability, Protection and indemnity, and Marine Cargo.

The successful candidate will work in the Marine Cargo Claims team within the Global Marine, Cargo and Logistics Department.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a talented individual to move into a specialised and highly interesting claims area, with excellent support and development opportunities.

What can you expect?
  1. Negotiate with insurers to achieve the most beneficial claim outcomes for clients.
  2. Review and interpret claim documentation to negotiate settlements.
  3. Meet standards of accuracy, service, work volumes, and performance targets aligned with client SLAs and BSC targets.
  4. Handle and case manage claims and recoveries, resolving complex or contentious issues.
  5. Manage claims for global clients.
  6. Build and maintain strong relationships with colleagues, clients, insurers, and third parties.
  7. Use internal systems to record and update information.
  8. Prioritise workload to meet deadlines and SLAs.

  2. Solid planning and organisational skills.
  3. Ability to quickly grasp technical information.
